Biodiversity of Rum

Androctonus crassicauda – Arabian fat-tailed scorpion

Though there has been a reasonable amount of sampling and publications of the subject, the region is still not very well known, and there are still many un-described species of both vertebrate and invertebrates, which is reflected by the number of taxa being described after almost every serious study in the subregion. There are also many species already described that are endemic to the region, and I will attempt (as time allows) to document as much as possible here, checklists with images of the species I have encountered and photographed, also a list of references to published papers.

Comments and contributions are most welcome.
